Le sujet traité dans cet article est la segmentation d’un orateur dans une séquence vidéo. La télécommunication est de plus en plus utilisée que ce soit dans la sphère privée ou professionnelle. La fusion d’un orateur pouvant interagir avec des documents ou une présentation améliorerai grandement ce type de communication. Cette problématique a déjà fait l’objet de recherche avec des dispositifs tel que les webcams, mais malgré leurs résolution grandissantes, ces dispositifs ne capturent pas suffisamment d’information pour délimiter un sujet du fond de l’image de manière robuste (problème de saturation de la luminosité, couleur commune à l’orateur et au fond de l’image ...). La démocratisation de capteur depth à travers la Kinect ou la ASUS XTion permet aujourd’hui d’ajouter cette dimension de traitement, donnant accès à l’ensemble des informations que le système visuelle humain capte naturellement. Nous présentons dans cet article une étude des possibilités offertes par ce type de matériel. La méthode élaborée a pour but d’offrir une segmentation fiable et robuste, afin d’obtenir un rendu visuelle naturelle, tout en conservant un temps de calcul réduit afin de traiter 25 img/sec.
